Denominational and Interfaith Work

Presently, I am serving as a Good Officer for the Transitional Ministry Chapter of the UUMA as well as chair of the Nominating Committee.

I served on the Heartland District Board of Directors 2008-2012 during the transition from districts to regions.

While in Ludington, Michigan, I co-founded an interfaith group, called LIGHT, that worked together to provide educational events to promote religious pluralism on the West Shore of Michigan. Our first guest scholar was John Dominic Crossan.

I was active in the Chattanooga Multifaith Clergy group. We worked to be a liberal voice of compassion and reason in Chattanooga and were organized to respond quickly to any crisis situation. It was the tragic shooting in July 2015 that left five servicemen dead, and the need to gather as a community that led to the founding of the interfaith ministers group.

I am a trained ICPC volunteer police chaplain and served the Chattanooga Police Department from 2016-2018. The Chaplain Corps is a diverse interfaith ministers, and I was the first woman minister to serve as a chaplain in Chattanooga.

I established Tennessee as a Healing of Memories North American region with the aid of grants from Veatch and Faithify. The founder of the Healing of Memories Institute in Cape Town, South Africa, Father Micheal Lapsley has facilitated three workshops in Chattanooga, and we have trained five facilitators who are working toward certification. I am a Lead Facilitator for the Institute for the Healing of Memories North America.  We offer workshops for Veterans, Healthcare workers, pre-release prisoners, domestic violence survivors, and those suffering from severe trauma. https://healingmemoriesna.org.
